Sustainable development examples from Sarajevo presented in Vienna.

Sarajevo Cable Car was presented as a positive example of sustainable development at a conference in Vienna, which focuses on 17 goals of the Agenda 2030, which was adopted by the UN member states in September 2015.

Delegation of Sarajevo City is taking part in two-day activities, and Tarik Hamzic presented activities in the capital city of BiH on behalf of the delegation, stating the cable car is one of the projects that fulfills great number of goals from the Agenda, such as sustainability, cooperation with other cities, education, protection and promotion of nature, health, prosperity and employment.

"Cable car, which started working again in April this year, connects the center of Sarajevo and Trebevic Mountain. It is not only an infrastructural project but it is also about returning a symbol of Sarajevo to the citizens but an even greater motive to visit nature," emphasized Hamzic, stressing that there have been more than 700 000 individual rides over six months.

Hamzic also talked about problems in Sarajevo, firstly air pollution.
