Multisector approach crucial for more effective fight against domestic violence.

The Gender Center as the FBiH Government's Office and the coordinator of the implementation of the Strategy for the Prevention and Fight against Domestic Violence organized a conference today in Sarajevo with the aim to enable cantonal coordination bodies and municipal multisector teams to exchange experiences and practices in one place and strengthen cooperation in the field.

A two-day conference entitled 'Multidisciplinary Approach to Preventing and Combating Domestic Violence' is part of the UN Women project 'Standards for the Prevention of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence in BiH', financially supported by the Swedish International Development Agency.

A representative of UN Women in BiH Marbie Sartie said in a press statement before the conference that, in the case of combating domestic violence, there is still much to do in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also that we have to appreciate what has been done so far.
